SSJ & Company ™ is an editorial and commercial photography company based in Maryland. Owned and operated by native Photographer, Founder, and CEO Sheri Jalloh. SSJ’s mission is to set a fire for authenticity and creativity in its style of exclusive abstract artwork. From unique creative shoots and artwork made to ignite the soul, photos found within the collective all capture the essence of art and life together.
An Artist in the Making –
It all started in Sheri’s childhood home of Gaithersburg, MD, taking photographs with disposable or instant film cameras brought by her dad. It wasn’t long before he saw the gift and at 14 years old gave her a Nikon N 65, she’d never put down. Sheri went on to study AP Photography and studio art, focusing her talents on black and white photos, fine art, and journalistic photography. Her success earned advanced college credits before graduating high school in 2006.
Sheri’s college journey started at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh for studies in fine arts and photography. At the Art Institute she honed her techniques but ultimately furthered her education elsewhere and landed at the Washington School of Photography. It was in this movement she found her voice as an artist and oneself to garner the edge of emotional conveyance in her work and authenticity. Sheri works hard to make her editorial portfolio stand out, creating a fantastic experience from start to finish.
While photography perfectly suits her creative yet fun loving personality. Sheri’s dedication to creating every piece of artwork is an assertion of the signature authentic style that SSJ & Co.™ is built upon. Bringing together artful design, strategic coordination, and authenticity as the magic behind a successful photograph. The specialization of her vision to bring life and art together engages viewers to feel something that awakens their souls.

When not working Sheri is honing her craft, creating new pieces in her home studio, and spending time with my family and friends.
